Affem apiary set up beneath the trees of the Abdoulayi forest

Terroir

Affem, the Abdoulayi forest

The forest. Here the hives sit under the trees, and the honey takes what the forest gives: a sheltered bloom, unlike the one up on the plateaus.

The Affem apiary, under the canopy of the Abdoulayi forest.

Affem, in the Abdoulayi forest, is one of D'oùça?'s three terroirs in Togo. Two communities are attached to it: Affem Bossou (code 1) and Cajou Espoir (code 2). The 2026 harvest is in.

In the Abdoulayi forest, in central Togo. The hives sit under the cover of the trees: the bloom is sheltered, and the honey shows it.

Affem honey goes into our Écrin de Douceur and Prestige gift boxes, and comes as a single cuvée by the pot. Sold at the workshop and at the Palais de Lomé.
